Appeal for Homes    (This page has been updated on: 12th May 2008)

Could you home a cat or kitten?

This page is devoted to cats who have been rescued by Cats' Aid.  We are urgently in need of people

willing to give cats permanent homes - this would enable us to help many more cats and kittens.

Below are just some of the cats we have in our care.

Please leave your name, address and an evening landline tel. no. when you contact us by phone or email.  Thank you.

the cats and kittens
in our care...

As well as the cats and kittens seen below, we have other
lovely cats and kittens who are not featured on this page
but who are also looking for loving permanent homes,
so please contact us by email at catsaid@gmail.com or
telephone us on our helpline number (01) 668 3529, and
please remember to leave your name, address & a landline
telephone number & we will call you back as soon as possible.

We do not have a shelter or sanctuary so our cats & kittens
are looked after in the homes of our fostering volunteers,
but we are very happy to make arrangements for you to
come and see any of them if genuinely interested.

If you can offer a home to Oscar, please phone 01 6683529.
Matilda
Meet Matilda

Matilda: - Had Matilda waltzed a little more she might not be in her present predicament - mother to 4 beautiful offspring.  She will soon be seeking a new role in life & will make someone an excellent companion. Matilda is semi long-haired & very friendly.  Available mid June.

If you can offer a home to Matilda, please phone 01 6683529.
hamish
Meet Hamish

Hamish is a stunning ginger boy. He is not for the faint-hearted - he is very energetic & mischievous. He is feisty & thinks he is a Jack Russel puppy. He is approx 6 months old & he needs an experienced, devoted owner who will be tolerant with him.

If you can offer a home to Hamish, please phone 01 6683529.
roxy
Meet Roxy

Roxy was abandoned recently - perhaps because she was pregnant.
She was lucky enough to stray into the garden of a concerned man
who obtained veterinary treatment for her. She could have stayed
there but the resident cat took exception so we are looking for a home
for Roxy. She is a semi long-haired, tabby & white beauty, little more
than a kitten at 9-10 months old. She loves people & other animals.
She will fall asleep on your shoulder & loves basking in the sun.
Roxy has been spayed & vaccinated & she is house trained.
This lovely girl deserves a chance to be a kitten again; if you can
give her that chance please contact us on 6683529.
MistyMagic
Meet Misty and Magic:

Misty and Magic are sisters who have been together since birth. They have a strong friendship so we want to home them together. They love to play, sneaking up and pouncing on one another or chasing each other up and down the stairs. Afterwards they'll each pick their favourite spot and sleep it off before doing it all over again. Both are quite friendly and will quite quickly jump into a warm lap of complete strangers at times. They are not used to other animals and bar one or two brief excursions both have been kept indoors all the time. They are about 2 years old and have been vaccinated and spayed.
If you can offer a home to this appealing pair please phone 01 6683529.

stacy
Meet Stacy:

I am Stacy, the friendliest cat ever. I will wait for you to come home & spoil you with head butts & purrs. I have a gum condition, not infectious, which necessitates a visit to a vet when it flares up. Most of the time I am fine. At present I am happy in a foster home but would love an indoor forever home where I would be an only cat. Take a chance on me; you won't regret it. I am 3 years old, spayed & vaccinated with bags packed & ready to go. Love, Stacy.

Cats' Aid would pay all expenses related to mouth condition at designated vets.

Would you be able to give Stacy the love and
attention she deserves?  If you would like to arrange
to see her and find out for yourself what a lovely cat
she is, please contact Cats' Aid on (01) 668 3529

  precious
Meet Precious:

Precious is an appealing tabby & white male cat that urgently needs a new home as her owners
are emigrating. Precious is 3 years old, vaccinated & spayed. Like her owners she has packed her
bags & is ready to bring her affection to a new family.

To enquire about this delightful cat please phone Cats' Aid (01) 668 3529.

zara
Meet Zara:

Zara is a very attractive dark tortie/white cat, about 1 year old, spayed & vaccinated. She is still just a kitten, very playful, loves her toys & tummy
rubs & soaks up attention.
Zara was orriginally homed (not by us) to a foreign national who decided
to return home & passed her on. Finally she came into our care. By then
one eye had been injured & had to be removed. This is hardly noticable &
doesn't hinder her in any way.
Zara is looking for an indoor, adult home where she will be an only cat.
Having some company during the day would be preferable to long hours
alone as she is very sociable.
If you can give this deserving little cat a home please phone Cats' Aid 6683529.

Fifi

Meet Hugo
and Fifi:

Hugo & Fifi were abandoned & left to fend for themselves when their owner had to go into a retirement home. Now they are urgently looking for a new home. They are brother & sister, neutered & spayed, approx 6 years old. They are affectionate little cats but they may need a bit of time to adjust to having a home & family again. Their lives have been turned upside down; can you make things better for this appealing pair?

Please contact 01 6683529.

  Joe

This is Joe:

Joe came to our attention when he was brought to be euthanased because his owners no longer wanted him. It was discovered that he had an untreated wound & severe diarrhoea & euthanasia was again suggested.
Cats' Aid does not euthanase if there is hope of recovery, so Joe received the treatment he needed.
He is now completely recovered & is affectionate, chatty & playful. He can still get a bit anxious with people he doesn't know & is not suited to young children. He has a beautiful, strong, typical boy cat nature & will be an interesting & loyal companion.  He has been neutered & vaccinated & is litter trained.
Joe has been snatched from the jaws of death twice; now can anyone offer this courageous, big hearted cat the home he so richly deserves?

To enquire about Joe Phone Cats' Aid (01) 6683529

missy2May
Meet Missy: * Booked *

Missy was abandoned when her owners could no longer keep her & she spent some time outside in the cold of winter before being rescued. She had a hard start to her young life & is still understandably a little timid. However, she has come on in leaps & bounds in her foster home - trots about the house quite comfortably & gets on well with the two resident cats. Missy loves to play with her favourite toy (a little sock) & loves to have her head rubbed. She takes a little time to get used to new people but her sweet & affectionate personality will shine through.
Missy is about 9 months old, spayed & vaccinated, & is waiting for a quiet, adult home.
If you can offer this most appealing cat the home she deserves please contact Cats' Aid (01) 6683529 or email catsaid@gmail.com

Meet Wanda:

Wanda - We don't know her history but we do know that she is a clever cat. Finding herself a stray she had the good sense to wander into the home of a veterinary nurse!  She could have remained there but she & the resident cat didn't see this as a possibility so we are looking for a wonderful home for Wanda with no other animals.  She is extremely people friendly & is spayed, vaccinated & microchipped.

To enquire about Wanda please phone Cats' Aid on 01 668 3529 or email catsaid@gmail.com

sableJudy

Meet Sable and Judy:
* Booked *

Sable, (the grey cat) & Judie are two 1 year old sisters that urgently need a new home as their owners are emigrating. Sable is a heart breaker - loves to cuddle; Judie is a little shy but will pick a favourite person. They have lived as mainly indoor cats & they are used to children. We would like to home them together as they are great friends.
If you would like to offer a home to these two appealing cats please phone 6683529.

Meet Banksy and Brooklyn: * Homed *

Banksy and Brooklyn are two lovable kittens looking for a warm indoor home.
These two sisters were rescued from a garden and have been living in an apartment for the past three months. They are now almost six months old.
They have all of their vaccinations, they've been spayed, and they are extremely healthy.
In a new environment they will probably hide initially, as they are timid, but when they are used to you they love to sit on your lap for hours and take long naps on the couch.
Their favorite toys are bells and yarn and they are inseparable.
To enquire about these kittens please phone 6683529.

Pippa

Meet Pippa: * Homed *

It’s hard to understand why there has been no interest in this
eminently homeable cat
. Pippa is a very loving, affectionate,
low maintenance, healthy cat – simply a joy to have. Her foster
carers love her to bits and she is very happy there but it is only
a temporary arrangement and we would love her to have a
permanent “forever” home of her own. Is there anyone out there
who can offer Pippa a kind home? She really is such a joy and
deserves not to be overlooked.

Pippa came into our care because of a change in her
owner’s domestic circumstances. She had been with her
owner since she was a kitten but we are now looking for
a loving new home for her. Pippa is a very bright, youthful
12 year old cat in extremely good condition and very
healthy… her teeth are the envy of many a cat half her
age! She is an intelligent, curious, very friendly cat, very
pretty, very loving and very well behaved. She would do
well as an indoor cat. Pippa is ready to go to her new home,
she is fully vaccinated, healthy checked and has been spayed.

If you would like to enquire about Pippa or arrange to
visit her and see for yourself how lovely she is, please
contact Cats’ Aid on (01) 668 3529 or email catsaid@gmail.com

amber
Meet Amber: * Homed *

Amber is a young cat (under 2 years old) that has had a really tough time.
She was found at Mondello, injured, with a young kitten that didn't survive.
The injury was most likely caused by being kicked; this has now healed.
Amber is timid - she was bullied by the other cats at Mondello. She is frightened
of dogs but loves people & cuddles. She would probably be best suited to an adult home.
Amber has suffered so much; she deserves the chance of a better life.

To enquire about Amber please phone 6683529 or Email catsaid@gmail.com.

Sugar - is a beautiful Black & White female, age 4.5 years. She is neutred and
vaccinated

Tootsie is tabby male cat aged 3 years and he is spayed & vaccinated.

We would like both cats to be homed together.  They
are both indoor and outdoor cats but quite often
prefer to be asleep inside! Both cats are very
beautiful and love to be petted.  They would suit a
quiet home, with older children or an older
couple/single person.  They are warm and friendly once
they know you and love to sit on their owner's laps.

Meet Tselem: * Homed *

This is Tselem ('Shadow' in ancient Hebrew.)
Tselem is a particularly good-natured young cat & very good looking.
He was hand reared from 2 days old & has never been outside.
He comes from a multi cat household so would be an ideal companion cat.
He is not used to children.  We are looking for an indoor home where he
would not be alone all day.
To enquire about Tselem please phone our Help Line 01 668 3529
or Email catsaid@gmail.com

Meet Felix:  * Homed *

I am Felix, and I am looking for a loving home. I was very happy with an elderly couple in a retirement complex.
Because of rules & regulations I could not remain & my heartbroken owners had to give me into care.
I am 2 - 3 years old, neutered & vaccinated. I am affectionate & would suit a home with an older person.

If you would like to enquire about me please phone Cats Aid on 01 668 3529 or Email catsaid@gmail.com

Caesar... in elegant pose!

Ramses

Meet Caesar & Ramses:  * Booked *

Caesar and Ramses, 18-month-old brothers, are
beautiful tabby and white cats that will steal your
hearts and keep you laughing with their antics. If
you’ve always wanted a dog but live in an apartment,
these are the boys for you. They chase and fetch
balls, chirp at the window when a bird is spotted,
adore boxes and find adventure in small things.

Caesar charms everyone with his sleek appearance,
huge hazel eyes and confident and affectionate
demeanour. He loves nothing more than to get his
belly rubbed or to play with catnip mice. Ramses is
by far the shyer of the two, taking a while to warm up
but very loving once he’s comfortable in his new
surroundings. Both cats adore dogs to an almost
inordinate degree, having been raised with a puppy,
and as far as they are concerned, every dog is their
sibling. Both boys are neutered, vaccinated, microchipped
and ready for travel with their pet passports.

To enquire about Caesar & Ramses, please contact
Cats’ Aid on (01) 668 3529 or email catsaid@gmail.com

  Ray

He is an amazing bright one year old male
cat. He is charming and has a beautiful
character, very friendly and playful. He
can bring lots of happiness and beautiful
moments in every day. He has been
neutered and is litter tray trained.

To enquire about Ray, please phone
Cats’ Aid on (01) 668 3529.

Ernie

Meet Ernie – the extra-toed cat! * Homed *

Ernie’s fosterer says he is perhaps one of the sweetest,
most affectionate, playful cats they have ever met! He is
very energetic, loves children, loves to give hugs with his
extra toes (he has an extra toe on each of his feet!), and
will actually wrap his front legs around your arm to show
you how much he loves you. His favourite activities are
napping on the top of the cat tree, snuggling with humans
under the covers, and playing with his favourite toy – a
purple catnip spider which he carries around in his mouth.
He is 7 months old and has been neutered and vaccinated.
Ernie would be a joyful and wonderful addition to any
energetic family who can give him the love and attention
he deserves!

If you would like to enquire about Ernie, please phone
Cats’ Aid on (01) 668 3529 or email catsaid@gmail.com

Munchkey

Meet Munchkey: * Homed *

Munchkey is a very friendly female cat, 7 years old
and tortoiseshell coloured. She was abandoned in a
vet’s boarding kennels when her owners emigrated
and promised they would send for her, but they never
did. This is very sad because Munchkey is a really
lovely, affectionate, playful cat who deserves much
better. She is healthy & vaccinated and has been
spayed. She has a lovely gentle nature.

Would you be able to give Munchkey the love and
attention she deserves?  If you would like to arrange
to see her and find out for yourself what a lovely cat
she is, please contact Cats’ Aid on (01) 668 3529.

Buddy

This is Buddy: * Booked*

Buddy is 3 and a half years old (born August 2004). He is in
need of rehoming as his elderly owner passed away recently.
Buddy has been neutered and his vaccinations are up to date.
This photo was taken when Buddy was younger, but he is now
just a slightly bigger and slightly chubbier cat than pictured here!
He has lovely black & white markings, with a little black nose.
Buddy would thrive in a quiet, loving environment as he has
been used to lots of love and attention. He loves to relax indoors
(preferably on someone’s lap!) and is a spotlessly clean, fully
house trained cat. He also enjoys being outdoors, and so a home
with access to a safe garden would be ideal, as this is what he
has been used to his whole life.

To enquire about Buddy, please phone Cats’ Aid on (01) 668 3529.

Buttons

Baby Buttons

Meet Buttons & Baby Buttons:

a really lovely nature. She has one eye
missing but this doesn’t cause her any
problems. She has been spayed and is
fully vaccinated.

Baby Buttons is Buttons’ daughter. She is
a dark tortoiseshell colour like her mother
and is semi long-haired. She can be timid
initially with strangers, but soon becomes
very affectionate. She is approximately
1 year old and has been spayed & vaccinated.

Both Buttons and Baby Buttons would make
